As S turns 4, she is starting to notice subtle similarities or differences in various things. She would notice if I wore something different or if something wasn't right...

Expanding our notions of big and small or identifying the shapes or colors, here's some activities we are focusing on these days to identify similarities and differences in various things.

Its very easy to setup these, or you can make some up very quickly on your own. I can share/ link to some PDF's you can download if you are interested in the activities.

1. Similar : Find similar shapes/forms :

Made this quick activity out of 4 symbols. The activity says to color the similar symbols but we got bored of coloring and so ended up just identifying the similar ones and joining them. Customize activities as you see fit for your kids.

2. Differences : Find the item that is different in each row.

This was the simplest and the quickest activity that I have spin up. I basically just drew a few items and TA-DA!
