Involve your toddler when you prep for dinner! I am going to try to share as many new ideas on toddlers can be involved but still be engaged.
1. Cutting fruits
If you have some fruits that you are going to add in your salad or just for something after dinner.
Have your toddler cut them. They won't be perfect but they will be GREAT.
Knife recommendation :
1. Safe knifes
2. Table knifes

2. Setting up dinner tables
Independence, following instructions and a sense of achievement and something that they can do everyday!
We recently started this ritual of the toddler setting up the dinner table! As a family, it is very important for us to eat one meal together :) and this activity was great addition to involve your toddler.
Currently we only set up the table with 3 things :
1. Plates
2. Silverware (Spoons only)
3. Glasses
Toddler S arranges plates, spoons and glasses on the table for each of us. I did this growing up and I remember it as a great memory of helping my mom. As we grew our activities were more complex like getting a water jar :P etc, but then my baby brother would help out with plates as he grew up :)
