Living in the bay area we are always constrained on space. Backyard with a lot of play area is not always the luxury everyone can afford.
But that shouldn't restrict us from exploring ! A quick and cheap way of re-designing the patio space to becoming kids outdoor play space.
As we get warmer weather, kids insist on playing outdoor. Here are some quick items you can add to your patio, backyard to make it more interesting!
Thing you need :
Boxes(I use amazon or other boxes that I get on online deliveries)
Got some wood planks from a nearby Home Depot (check out there clearance areas in the lumber section, you will find cheap wood planks)
Car tyre
Trucks, cars (any type of vehicle)
This was also an opportunity to let Toddler S explore and engage in open ended play. I placed these items in the patio and started constructing some ramps. Toddler S got interested and took on building more ramps and bridges.
The bridges would fall down, when they ran large trucks on them or just cause wooden planks weren't keep right.... Sometimes, the ramp wouldn't stay in place. All good problems to have and a good way for encouraging problem solving.
