Painting with a natural brushes/made from re-usable things?

Just conceptualizing the world when paint brushes, palettes etc didn't exist? I was totally intrigued by the thought and so we tried!

There are so many creative ways to creating your own paint brushes.

1. Leaves + Sticks :

We got leaves from a pine tree (they have these thin leaves which are very similar to bristles and collected some sticks.

Tied the leaves to a stick - VOILA!! :)

And then let your toddler paint away, its a little different experience and they can do it stroke different colors !

2. Cardboard (from amazon boxes etc)

Cut the cardboard into sqaurish pieces and pour some color on plates. Let the toddler spread color with these sqaurish pieces of cardboards.

Because of broad base they end up mixing so many colors while coloring that its fun to introduce color mixing, creation of new colors etc
